Characters: Grimbeorn and his family.

Wrapped warmly, Grimbeorn went out to play with the handful of other children. Although he was the smallest, they welcomed him into their games; when throwing snowballs it seemed the more, the merrier.
Until a ball hit Grimbeorn full in the face. The shock brought on the change and the others looked on, aghast, as his tiny body twisted and he cried with pain.
Then Beorn’s nephew, oldest there and only other shape-shifter, pulled off his boots and, grimacing, changed too. Two cubs rolled together in the snow and the other children, from looking scared, laughed… and all was well.
