Cluedo challenge: Library: Honourable Inscriptions

Title: Honourable Inscriptions
Author: Kortirion
Character: Théodred/Boromir
Rating: Implied relationship
Source: What Tolkien didn’t write…
Disclaimer: The world of JRR Tolkien, the revised characters of fandom.

“Your face should be an open book to your friends…” his father’s favourite saying; the rejoinder being “…and a closed door to your foes”.

Something Théodred’s tutor sniffily labelled “mixed metaphors”. The man was educated at Gondor’s court and found Rohan’s nobles unsubtle… he hadn’t lasted long.

“Judging books by their bindings” was another phrase Théodred found could be interpreted with ease… for surely some of the most worthy could be found in battered leathers…

Boromir stripped naked to bathe, his body inscribed by battles past; on his skin Théodred thirstily deciphered a veritable library… braille under his studious fingertips.
