Éomer was torn, now, between his sister, his men, and his responsibilities.
He should spend time with Éowyn, the only family he had left. He should spend time with the men who would not ride out of Mundburg because they were too badly injured. He should spend time with the men who would ride with him tomorrow.
Aragorn wanted him to spend time planning and organising that next move.
In the end he fled from them all, to spend time with the one who held his heart.
