Challenge: Weather; mist
Characters: Imrahil's family
All around Hiril Vuin there was silence. Thick grey silence. The mist had come down as they approached land and now they strained their ears, listening, listening.
“For’ard, port!” shouted Elphir from the bow, thrilled to be first.
“For’ard, port!” echoed one of the crew.
The harbour bell was faint but growing louder as they kept their course. Then, dimly, a pale light with a grey halo appeared, followed by a red one; the lanterns at the breakwater.
Ashore the ship seemed to appear as if from nowhere, and Imrahil breathed a sigh of relief; Elphir’s first voyage was complete.
