Journey. Great Outdoors, Prompts.

I have been wondering about these prompts, even though I set them. And yesterday the first line came to me. I have been greedy, though, for it needed more than one of the prompts to flow properly!!

Title; Journey
Challenge: Great outdoors, mountain, moorland, woodland & hills.
Characters: Thranduil
Rating: PG;
Source: LotR.

It would not be a pleasant journey. Not one step of it would he enjoy. Not mountain, nor moorland, woodland or hills. He would be sad starting and sad reaching his destination. Well, his destination in this life anyway. Every step would be a step away from life as he understood it.

Then would come the journey to the life beyond. The Great Voyage.

As to what came after that… who would he be, what would he be, in that place?

Thranduil realised he had already taken the first step; he now saw the journey as one he would make.
