Through the Eyes of Morgoth

Long, long have I waited.
Waited, watched, and seen so much.

Fallen, my most faithful servant.
But then as time wore, so too fell Men.

To the caves they crawled as ice engulfed.
Animals, scratching in the dirt.

I understood not how they rose again.
Reaching, grasping, growing, building.
Falling, rising again.

Stretching towards the stars,
they walked the face of the moon,
and I hated them.

Now they reach even further.
A great ship made to sail the distant stars.

But I am here.
They must pass me.

Their ship, beautiful, fragile.
I will squeeze and light the Void.
