Elrohir ran full-tilt down the narrow path, ducking low branches that caught at his unbound hair. Elladan pounded after him.
"You’ll never catch him! Let him go!"
Elrohir paid no heed. That prank was too much! He was not giving up without good reason. Reason arose as a large tree-root with an expanse of slippery clay beyond.
Ahead, fleeing his foster-brother’s wrath, young Estel clearly heard the torrent of oaths rend the air. He knew his brother’s fondness for languages, but even he was surprised at the colour and fluency an angry elf can muster face down in the mud.
