A philosopher; a man perhaps more far-sighted than practical. When not afield, he seldom stopped to consider the labor spent to bake his bread, to turn grass into milk into butter. What man did? Yet his knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, paled before her homely skills. His head in the clouds; she drew him to the earth; between them they created a new-born, re-born land.
Side by side they labored, and when the first-fruits were ready they thanked the sky, the rain, the soil; feasted on apples and trout and cold, clear water; laughed, and saw that it was good: Ithilien.
