Talk of the Trade
Gimli loved the stone and marble of Minas Tirith; often stopped to examined unfamiliar masonry or the smooth line of a support column. Aragorn and Legolas attempted to look interested when he explained how difficult it was to sculpt such a flawless arch, but it was clear they did not properly appreciate the artistry.
The Hobbits tried to listen, but they were people of the earth, not of the stone, and Gimli eventually stopped himself from exclaiming over any but the most astounding work. Daily he found himself wholeheartedly wishing there was just one other Dwarf in the White City.
