Seaborne Lament

Title: Seaborne Lament
Author: SheBit
Source: LotR
Disclaimer: All Tolkien's
Author's Note: For the 'salty' challenge. Not quite that scene, but soon after.

Cry no tears for me, my brother; for I have had my fill of salt-heavy waters. Sing no laments for me, now that I am gone, but only bold songs of joy and of victory. For though I am fallen, never to stand with you again, by my death I have secured all victory and done as I was bade. Gondor's salvation is at hand. Minas Tirith shall stand yet another three thousand years, under the protection of our kin. He will see it done. Be not mournful, for already, he has spilled all the tears that need be wept.
