Characters: King Elessar
Warnings: minor angst
Disclaimer: not my great king, The Professor's great king. I just make him sad.
Note: I was already working on this when the within prompt came up this morning, so with a little tweaking we have...
The heart of Gondor
Within Minas Tirith the Citadel stands proud, white tower reaching to the skies.
Sunlight turns naked stone to dazzling brightness beyond bearing.
Within the tower the king holds court, seated upon a high, winged throne.
Banners sway gently in soft breezes from opened casements.
Within the king a heart beats strongly, the blood of Númenor flows true.
The heir returned has taken up his birthright.
Within that heart lies the foundation of the kingdom.
Kind of word and deed, the king loves and is loved by all.
Deep within the heart of Gondor is a corner that is forever Boromir.
