Cardinal Virtues: Honesty challenge - ' To Speak The Truth' : Kortirion

Title: To Speak the Truth
Author: Kortirion
Characters: Boromir/Théodred
Rating: G - but slash intimated
Source: Middle-earth
Disclaimer: Tolkien’s mythos… but these bits are influenced by the Rowling Revelations! ~_^

Boromir liked the Rohirrim. He liked their bluff honesty. Although the truth might cause bruised feelings on occasion, it meant the sun never set on an argument... even if it did go down on the odd black-eye or swollen lip! Things could be brought to the surface and put in order...

Of course, Théodred assured him, this was only within an éorod – there was conniving and back-stabbing aplenty in the Golden Hall, but somehow less, he suspected, than in the courts of the White City...

At least it allowed him to be honest – to say ‘I love...’ ...and mean it.
