They had been no more than an hour on the Anduin when Legolas began to sing.

Now, ashore, Gimli said “It was good to hear the lad singing, although it sounded sad enough. Still lamenting Gandalf, or sorrow at leaving the Lady Galadriel, eh Aragorn?”

Aragorn had trouble keeping a straight face. He hoped, sincerely, that neither Gandalf nor Galadriel had been the subject of Legolas’ impromptu song – although he wondered who was…

“Your buttocks so firm in my hand,
Your hair, shining, as your mouth moved on my grond…”

“Not quite,” Aragorn answered.

Approaching, unseen by Gimli, Legolas winked.


Grond - wood-elf slang for penis.
