Bouquet challenge

It was an old Shire tradition, they told her. Sam blushed scarlet as he offered Arwen the bouquet of roses and lilies, bound with trailing ribbons of ice-blue satin.

She gladly accepted their beautiful gift, so generously given. Four glowing hobbit faces were her reward.

Just outside the Citadel she paused.

“My love?” her newly wedded husband asked.

“I must throw my bouquet to the crowd,” she explained. “The hobbits tell me that whoever catches it will next be married.”

She tossed it over her shoulder, turned… and smiled.

Faramir was stooping to smell the flowers Éowyn of Rohan held.
