Memories are like pebbles in the stream of time.
Sending bark-boats down the river during golden summer-days...him spinning tales of whirlwinds and landings on distant shores...Boromir listening with enjoyment...while half pretending not to.
Another boat down the river...wounds that time will never heal.
He is a ruthless memory-keeper.
For solace he has also spun untold tales about that boat - Boromir remaining...and dreaming in a cocoon of slow time across the sea...
Faramir puts two bark-boats on the water and lights a candle in each. He watches as they float away, like fiery petals.
One for Boromir and one...for himself.
