"Perhaps Not Quite What He Meant..."

“Ada says it is important to learn things without books, sometimes – he did when he was young,” Eldarion said.

“I asked him did this mean my warrior training”, Eldarion continued, “but he said no, not yet, better to learn the work of peace first….”

Firiel knew of the plan, and thought it an odd way to train a prince, but then there had been no prince of Gondor for a very long time…

“He said I should learn to throw a pot,” he paused. “But, when I showed him I already could, he frowned whilst Nana gathered up the pieces…”

I thought, as it is almost a year since the last set of drabbles I wrote about Eldarion and Firiel, that I might return to them for this series of challenges!
