To be a Proper Prince

Eldarion was describing yesterday’s trip to the House of Healing with his father.

“The healer showed me how they leave bread out in the air and it goes green... then they use it to help heal wounds.”

“Yes,” Firiel felt on firm ground, “my mother taught me about that.”

“You won’t do it to me, though?” He sounded worried. “I don’t want you to turn me green…”

As Firiel tried to imagine why she would possibly do such a thing, her pupil continued.

“I heard Lord Lawkland say that, to be a proper prince, I needed to be totally moulded….”
