A running leap and he was swinging into the branches, away from the clearly marked paths of Men and into the pathless realm of the treetops. He swiftly found the tallest tree and climbed to the top. Once he would have looked out over a sea of deep green, a wood that stretched as far as even Elven eyes could see.
But now he did not have to look far at all to see the edge of the park, and the tall, harsh buildings Men called skyscrapers (though they didn’t even come close) looming up and glinting in the sun.
