(Late as usual after a week away, and equally behind on reading/commenting, but I'll try to get caught up this week!)

From Dungeons Deep and Caverns Old

“…vanished without trace, and no amount of interrogation can turn up a conspirator – every Elf in the caverns has an alibi!”  Thranduil smacks his hand upon the oak table in frustration, glaring suspiciously at his son. “You find this amusing?”

“Oh, Father, you must see the funny side!” Legolas’ blue eyes dance mischievously. “You always did call Dwarves cunning! Galion snoring in his cups… a comedy of errors!”  He chuckles. “They were punished for their intrusion; admit it, you wanted them gone. Offer the Lakemen handsome payment to know of their schemings eastward, if it worries you, and be glad.”
