Disclaimer: Tolkien's; not mine.
Summary: A sequel to Moon-Letters and following on from Guilty Secrets. Written for the 'Firelight' prompt.
Author Notes: This series of drabbles is getting out of control! I blame chaotic_binky for this one, who suggested that if Elrond shared his collection with Thorin he might get a look at that map.
A Cunning Plan
Elladan paused, struck by an idea. "I know one thing that might persuade Thorin," he suggested.
"Of course!" Elrohir exclaimed, sharing the thought. "Father, do you still have that book?"
"A certain illustrated book that El and I discovered in the library when we were young."
It may have been the firelight, but Elrohir was sure his father blushed. "Ah. That book. It may still be around ..."
"Perhaps Thorin would let you see the map in exchange," Elladan explained.
"Are you suggesting that I bribe him?"
"Negotiate," Elladan amended. "I prefer the term negotiate. But yes. Why not?"
