Ironmongery challenge, Bolt - The Morning After the Night Before

Drabble!Muse was clearly sufficiently charmed by Thranduil (well, who wouldn't be?!) to perk up a bit, and offered this on my way home from work...

The Morning After the Night Before

The guard-captain's relief at discovering – when he wakes with a hangover straight from the pits of Morgoth – that all his keys are still on his belt, is short-lived.  Every Dwarf has vanished into thin air, apparently through locked-and-bolted doors.

“You do realise Old Goldenlocks is going to kill us?” groans the butler.

“Not if Prince Legolas finds out first.”  

“You think – he might put in a good word for us?”

The captain shakes his head... then wishes he hadn't.

Oh, no.  After His Highness has finished tearing us limb from limb, there won't be anything left for Thranduil to kill...”
