The Arrow for its Swiftness

Now her fingers are cut and sore; she has stockpiled arrows for three days.  Word came from Lothlórien, the Grey Company rode forth, and Imladris readied for war.  Master Elrond, grim-faced, has sent many who cannot or will not fight west to the Havens; but neither he nor the Evenstar will leave, and so the rest prepare to defend the valley, to their last breath.
