Unbecoming a Lady

She trained to fill the position of a royal woman in the King's house; not just as the shield maid she dreamed of becoming, but also performing the duties of a chatelaine. Subdued by obedience lay rebellion.

As she stood atop the stairs watching Grima's bruised body kicked down the stone steps by her Uncle's guard, she allowed herself to smile. She raised her hand in a universal gesture of contempt.

“Shame on you," Aragorn whispered, his eyebrow raised. "Such gestures are unbecoming a lady."

"I, sir, am no Lady," and she spat towards the broken form fleeing Théoden's wrath.
